What are forex rates?
The current market rate at which any currency pair is open for trading. The format used to list forex prices is USD/GBP, where USD stands for the “base” currency and GBP for the “quote” currency. The price simply denotes the amount of ‘quote’ currency (in this case, GBP) you must exchange for a unit of ‘base’ currency (USD).

How do the rates work?
